Maori Tribal New Zealand Silver Fern Tattoo variations
This design was a variation of one done by powerhouse tattoos from Palmerston North New Zealand

I redrew the design to match the clients requests. This remove the Celtic section of the design and strengthened the fern to just a New Zealand look. Also tweaked the tribal / Maori design behind the fern. I also did a female version with some old English stylized writing for a relative of the client and one with a bit of color as a variant, with a bit more of a natural fern look to it and have included all the tribal designs of the silver fern on this page. They are all copyright to Scott Bensemann, but you can use them for tattoos if you email me. or send me a copy of the finished tattoo
I have added some of my other Silver Fern designs at the bottom of the pages for you to check out as well.
Also I have included a photo of the finished tattoo of the Maori tribal design with the New Zealand silver Fern.

Tattoo books Skin StoriesProduct Description The Samoan culture calls it "tatau". The Maori people call it "moko" or "puhoro." The Hawaiians refer to it as "kakau" or "uhi." And many others know it as tattoo.
Tracing back more than 2,000 years to the Pacific Islands, tattoo is an ancient art form that began as a rite of passage for Polynesians and has become a form of expression for people worldwide. Featuring traditional tattooing ceremonies, compelling interviews, and a breathtaking collection of tattoo body art, Skin Stories traces the roots of tattoo, highlighting individual stories and the evolution of cultural traditions in the Pacific. Skin Stories is an anthology of stories and stunning images gathered from the hot spots of Pacific tattoo: from the steaming landscape of Rotorua in New Zealand to the vibrant gathering of the first international tattoo convention in Apia, Samoa; from the terraced, lush taro fields of Maui to the golden beaches of O’ahu and California. The film explores the transformative power of an art inscribed on the body as a way to honor the past, to explore one’s inner-self, and to preserve a culture for the future. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com’s standard return policy will apply. |
