Aztec Mayan Tattoo Flash Design 2012 Guardian Angel Fairy

Here is an Aztec / Mayan Styled angel or fairy tattoo design. I wanted to create a design that had the feeling of both cultures, also I wanted it to have the look of a half moon. With all the talk of the Aztec /Mayan calendar and the 2012 doomsday prophecies I thought there might be a need for a guardian angel as a symbol of hope and protection

(Personally I don’t believe the world will come to and end but change is inevitable)

also note the colors are in relation to the chakras

Red : Root Chakra - Function – Vitality of the physical body , survival, self preservation, instincts.

Orange : Navel Chakra – Function – Procreation , assimilation of food, physical force vitality, sexuality

Blue : Throat Chakra – Function – Speech, Sound , Communication

So quite fitting I think symbolically for survival and communication and the Angel or fairy as a symbol of protection.
