The moon has many meanings in cultures all over the world these maori tattoos are for me symbolic drawings of the full moon the light of the night, also recognizing the importance of the moon as it represents many cycles of life, planting cycles for crops particularly in Maori culture, and many of the cycles of our bodies and the rhythm of nature.
